After much squeeing and experimenting and fooling around with characters working, we give youuuuu~
ANATHEMA.
Summary: In a world where everything seems to be running smoothly, things take a twist when Aysel decides to get out of dying by becoming a personification of Death in a certain district. She replaces Zack, the one who granted her wish, and becomes the new partner of the personification of Life-Asher. Through collecting souls and creating miracles, they both get to know their jobs, themselves, and each other a little better.
Asher: Since the beginning of time, Asher has wandered through the ages, passing people by, acting as a supernatural midwife, performing “Heaven-sent” miracles, and helping the human race grow and thrive. He’s gone through a slew of names, identities, lovers, enemies, wars, and likes to reminisce on the good times-his personal favorites being those of the Grecian and Victorian persuasion . Asher’s last parner, Zack, (who ditched him for bratwurst and beer) left him with a new Death, Aysel. Eventually the newest personification of death begins to grow on Asher in a dangerous way. Asher’s drink of choice is a bold Americano coffee with three sugars-black. His least favorite smell is afterbith. And he smokes Newports and Kools. Being Life has its perks, after all.
Aysel: Having fallen into a premature death, Aysel decides to go against all odds: she cheats death by becoming Death. With a capital D. And that means that she has to start living with Asher and collecting the souls of those who are about to pass on. She’s often a representation of the dying wish of the last soul she’s collected-for example, if a soul really wanted to go horseback riding but never had the chance to during its life, she’ll become a fan of horseback riding. She’s also a bit of a smartass and finds it hard not to be attached to the souls she collects-and to Asher. But at the same time, she’s a bit ashamed of herself and has low self-esteem.
Zack (we think he's Hot Fudge?): Tempted by the thought of the four b’s, babes, boys, bratwurst, and beer, Zack granted Aysel's dying wish to cheat Death by becoming Death herself and fled to a Life-Death quadrant in Germany. He pops in every now and then to Asher’s apartment that he shares with Aysel to monitor how she is doing with her soul collecting (being a beginner and all) and to pay a visit to his ex-partner Asher. (Though sometimes they aren't too appreciative of this.)
Any questions? :)
