this was fantastic! really well structured and great pacing. It's a little lighter in terms of necromancer stuff, but it worked really well and was interesting all the way through :)
Reida was creepy, but in a fun way in this one. I really like how well Sethan gets Kairn and that in the end, he didn't actually have ulterior motives (far as we know anyway) for convincing Kairn to go see Elsie. I already told you I liked the sneezing up flower's bit and um I just have to say...you know there is some slash fodder in this one too ;) I'm just saying. If I were a desperate Kairn/Sethan fangirl...
And lol, was Sethan alluding to the pincer threat at the end there?
Reida can't always be all knives and guts and such, now can she? And I totally didn't see it being Sethan trying to convince Kairn so much as just stating the obvious, but now I see how it could read that way. And I think it's about time for Olram to pick a piece and get on with the slashing (I told her this one would have fodder...)
And I can so see myself (and Sethan) making pincer references to Reida from now on...
Ah, you're right. This one does have fodder. But I almost feel bad using it, actually, seeing as how Sethan didn't seem to have any ulterior motives in this...well, on the surface. Though I bet he had some inkling Reida would be putting those listening constructs to work all at once...
I agree, the sneezing up flowers was priceless. XD I love these pieces that are whole, contained stories...so satisfying...

I think bringing the rat back at the end was fantastic. And I immediately thought it was Reida's rat. *pincer claws*
Of course, you know, the Sethan/Kairn fangirls will love this piece ;)

I think you'll just have to get on with it and pick - plenty of fodder out there all around.
I was a little worried the flower-sneezing might be over the top, so I'm glad it worked.
I love it when I can manage an actual, at least somewhat complete story. And only my 3rd Brownie! I feel accomplished :)
