Notes: Rayn and Simon, yet again!
The door swings open as Rayn's leaning over the stove, and the screech of the hinges makes him jump, almost jarring the cigarette from his mouth.
"Trying to light your hair on fire?" Simon asks.
"Shit," Rayn says, taking the cigarette between his fingers. "You scared me."
"Don't you have a lighter for that?"
Rayn turns off the stove. "I threw them out."
"Oh yeah," Simon says. "Because you're quitting, right?"
Rayn looks down at the smoldering cigarette then with a quick, violent motion, stubs it out on a dirty plate. "Yeah," he says. "Don't look at me like that."
you know, you'd think writing about a character smoking would add some interest to your dialogue scenes. and then you realize after a while that describing smoking gets really repetitive. and then if you are me you start yelling at your characters to just stop smoking already because you are tired of writing that shit XD ...ok, that's it for that tangent.
