Notes: Matthew wanted one with Tina. I didn't use names again (like a scrub) but this one's about the Silinos.
She found the shoebox in the closet, the corners worn down and soft to the touch. Inside, yellowed concert ticket stubs, flyers and old photographs. Mom, young, with hair longer than hers, thick eye-liner and cigarettes, and Dad's hands resting on her hips.
"Ma wanted me to throw these out." She thrusts a photo in her brother's face. "Can you believe it? These are priceless."
He says yeah, quiet, pushes her hand aside.
"You don't want to look at mom?"
"I don't want to look at him."
She glances back at the photo. "You know, you kinda look like-"
"Don't."
