“That’s...Oh god. Poor man....Why didn’t he say anything? Was he trying to defend her?”
“No. He didn’t know her.”
“Then why-?”
“Because he had a phobia of public speaking. He was so scared of it he let himself get shot rather than face that fear.”
“...Oh.”
“Idiot.”
“...That...wasn’t very helpful.”
“What did you expect? I’m a surgeon, not a therapist.”
