EFFING exams.
So ... um ... yeah ...
My tentative exam schedule was just posted. I've been checking it like a mad woman all week (even since McGill's went up) - and although it is just the TENTATIVE schedule (I need to keep reminding myself) ...
I HAVE AN EFFING EXAM ON THURSDAY DECEMBER 22ND ...
Like I want to be freaking stuck here till 2 days before Christmas?!?
It's not even Christmas so much that I love ... but that build up to Christmas ... hanging out with friends and familiy, baking days at home with my family and just kicking back and relaxing and wrapping presents and whatnot. Won't be able to do any of that this year ... I'll just be arriving for Christmas ... and then in less than 2 weeks - it's back to school again for me .... GAH I'm so frustrated!
Again, this is only tentative so it could change ... but I doubt it will. A Grad student in my lab was telling me about how she used to say that she had a "non-refundable plane ticket gift from her mom" so that she could write her exams early and it always worked. So I'm thinking I'll invest in a little of the same. I'll book my train ticket and then tell my Prof that it's non-refundable - a gift from my parents at Thanksgiving. Then I can make it home around December 15th or 16th (when my other exams finish) and that'll be like a WEEK earlier than I should be home.
Again ... I'm just frustrated and venting right now ... I know there are people who can't be with their families for Christmas and whatnot ... and again, it's tentative and could change ... but dammit I'm not happy right now!
