Summary: On his birthday, Brian starts seeing how people will die. Realizing that his friend Jepha's death will be his fault, he runs away and spends the next few years going from one place to another. Except one day, on a train to God-knows-where, there's a guy whose death he can't see.
Bob is a spirit that accompanies souls to the afterlife. He's made a deal with Death that he will be able to live a human life after he harvests one last soul, Brian's.
