you must be someone i know right??? are you secretly one of my best friends who knows everything i like or do we just have some weird psychic connection --

first of all, one cannot overestimate my love of football xiuhan. this is basically my two favourite things intersecting in an explosion of confetti and love that becomes more than the sum of its parts. a+ to you, author anon.

xiuhan's dynamics made me pathetically flail the whole way through ok their scenes together were the cutest ever. especially because they're so cuddly and always smushed together with luhan all over minseok and minseok happily tolerating him ; ; they are too adorable ok im done here

and omfg i really loved all their practice scenes, plus the mental image of them as co-captains is very a+. (seriously PRAISE at someone writing football xiuhan before i had to write it myself)

all the little cameos of other people were great, especially kai's (you lil chelsea traitor) and jessica's (a+ taste marriage arranger). also KRISYEOL AND SUCHEN AS THE NINJA SIDE PAIRINGS you know my heart anon (and the krisyeol scene was very hot um welP).

luhan's backstory was quite an interesting twist tbh. rather surprising, but it worked with the story. it was also very heartbreaking how little choice of his own he had, and how his life was mostly controlled by his family except for the little life he built for himself at school. ; ;

... which just made it even more heartbreaking when he was suddenly dragged away from that life and also minseok and he didn't even get a chance to say goodbye ; ; i was sort of trying to hold together the pieces of my snapping heart and begging you can't make it end this way??

but then when he did get to go home (PRAISE) the fact that the first thing he did was go literally running to minseok and give him a dramatic fail!confession made me the happiest ever ok ; u; BUT THE KISS shrieks please stay together forever you two and do that a lot more ok (like a lot more and can i watch)

also can i just say that my favourite thing ever was when they were laid on the field together all close and there was the ~peaceful atmosphere~ and luhan was considering confessing and I HAVE WANTED A SCENE ALMOST LITERALLY LIKE THIS FOR SO LONG i cry about it at people sometimes (seriously are you a mind-reader or magic or a wizard or something)

wails and tugs your sleeve because you ended with the image of xiuhan at a wedding how could you my heart can't handle this

honourable mentions: loud salivation noises at the brief mentions of boarding school uniforms (wELL HELLO THERE) and luhan speaking english with a british accent (OKAY THEN) and -- lord of mercy did someone say minseok in a towel (oh wow okay um yes)
