Snow!
Yay, we're finally getting a pretty snowstorm!!!! There's got to be at least 5-6 inches out there and it's so pretty. I went out to put a small package in the mailbox and had to walk around the block and through the little park nearby because it was so nice. Its always so quiet when it snows. Even in the city. I'm excited too because I have a 4 mile race tomorrow and its supposed to be snowy then too. Hopefully it doesnt turn to freezing rain/wintry mix before then, ick. Its funny because all of the snow piles up on the fire escapes out my window so all of the stairs and railings are piled precariously high with snow. it always amuses me. Its also so nice because I don't have to go anywhere today.. baby Nicholas is coming over for a few hours later so Lori can get out and about by herself.. perhaps for a massage or something. Picasso is funny and loves to watch the snow, he gets all excited and goes nuts trying to watch all of the flakes. He also enjoys licking the condensation off of the windows. haha. It must look funny from across the way..
I think there was something else I wanted to mention in here.. perhaps about my awesome birthday gift from dave (it came a week early- and he says I have a problem waiting to give gifts... ha!) he got me this really cool book called "Not quite what I was planning" and it's a book full of 6-word memoirs. Its really neat and made me think in little 6-word sentences all evening after reading it. For instance: "Loud Neighbors, Will kill them someday." or "Dishes, never want to clean them." etc. :) Anyhow the book is full of really clever little quotes and I'm excited to read more.
Ok, gotta get out of this computer chair.. "dirty dishes will not go away."
