Dark, dank morning
I awoke to see you gone
Not a not or trace of you to be found
Now feeling empty and brokenhearted
I leave my humble apartment
Walk the cold streets in my world
The night sky once again falls upon me
Funny how I never see it coming
Those stars always seem to crash into me
I run but they find me
I grow tired of running
Escape to the warmth of my battered blankets
Restless night leaves me
I'm comforted by the light of a new day
I'm almost lost again
But I am not
I know who I am
I have to revert to those unhappy times
Times when I was nothing to myself
I remind myself that I may be no one to someone
I mean the world to me
Though I don't know where I'll be tomorrow
It feels good know who I am
I can't let myself forget who I am
What I do
If I did, who would I be then?
Who would I love then?
