Boo hoooooo I'm ill with a lovely throat infection :( But I'm not in work :)))))))) It started yesterday with a sore throat and I wasn't feeling particularly great all day, especially at the football. I went with my dad to watch United v Newcastle and Newcastle were just terrible. Good to see Ole scoring again but I'm pissed off with Fergie for not putting Saha on because my fantasy football team are right at the bottom of a little league I'm doing with Darren and George and I was hoping Saha would generate some points for me. Damn him!

My Friday night surprise was brilliant and it was so nice of Darren to take me. I was very touched. We went to the Dance House on Oxford Road to see Terry Pratchett. I really enjoy Terry Pratchett's novels, although I haven't read them all. For over an hour Terry talked about the book, characters as well as external topics. Then he took questions from the audience before doing a book signing. Unfortunately we were sat near the back so we had to wait in line for almost 2 hours to get our books signed. The audience was a mix bunch of hard core fans, so hard core they dressed up like Terry Pratchett, your general geeks, some goths, mums and dads and people like myself you just like the books. I've never been to the Dance House before and from the outside it looks very small. But once you're inside there are many rooms and the actual theatre we were sat in is very ornate, especially the ceiling.

Saturday Darren and I were gloriously lazy and watched football and a dvd too. I had such a heavy week and I was just too tired to do anything else. In the evening Darren, George and I went to the Kathmandu for a gorgeous curry that we haven't had for aaaaggggggesssss. Everything they make there is so tasty and I still haven't found another curry house that matches it's standards. Afterwards we went for a beer in the Metropolitan pub opposite the Kathmandu and their prices for drinks is soo expensive. For 2 pints of Staropramen and a lemonade came to £8.45!!! Very dear indeed.

It's my dad's birthday tomorrow but he's in Paris so he opened his presents yesterday before we had a birthday lunch. I had bought him a book and a cd box set of the Watersons. Mum had managed to get my dad a Royal Doulton snowman figurine to add to his almost completed collection.

Right I need to go and have a snooze.
