It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
Yeah, I know it;s a long title, so sue me!
I am rather proud of myself regarding the holidays this year. I have shopping done save for some stocking stuffers. I stayed to a reasonable budget, mostly by starting early. The coolest gift I will get this year is going to be the look on the Urchin's face when he opens his new laptop.
His father and I knew the computer he was using was on its last legs. With the deals that were available this Christmas and the Leezard's discount through Dell, my ex, my mother, the Leezard and I all conspired to get the Urchin a new laptop. The day the laptop arrived here I got he call that the Urchin's machine finally died. My ex has been keeping the secret, telling Urchin that when he has a few days off after Christmas he will look at the machine and see what he can do.
I am sorry my ex won't be there Christmas morning to see Urchin open his gift. It is one of the suck aspects of the divorce. I did promise him I would take pictures. I don't care about any gift in a box under the tree, that moment will make my Christmas. I know it would make my ex's as well.
I wish everyone gets one of those moments this holiday season. The moment of seeing the happiness in the eyes of family or friends. It is the best Christmas gift ever.
