Those everyday moments...
last night was a pleathera of everyday moments. I helped the Urchin with algebra via text images and phone and had a discussion with him about the state of his room, Christmas presents and why he keeps forgetting to turn in permission slips on time and gets detentions. It is those everyday things that make memories and I have to thank technology for making it possible.
I started the long process of sorting through MP3 files. The hard drive of music I have has some things I love, some stuff that's ok and stuff that I will never listen to in a million years. so it is time to clean. I know this is going to be a hella long process, but I have to get it done before Christmas. My ex and I have a plot to get the Urchin an MP3 player so we want to have a decent musical library for him to draw from.
theliquidlizard and I received confirmation that a friend of ours will be visiting for Thanksgiving. That means we will have to make up a menu and such for Turkey Day and the day after. A Honeybaked ham will definitely be on the menu. I will beg and plead for the supervisor to let me go a little early on Wednesday so I can get some stuffs done. I do want to do some day after thanksgiving shopping though. maybe I can convince the sister to go with me while the boys lounge and watch silly movies.
All in all things are much better. The holidays generally put me in a good mood, even if I am kinda panicked wondering how to get stuff done.
