Weekend update
This weekend was all about family. Since today I start a new job, I made a point to spend time with the Urchin and my family.
Friday night was the Urchin's band performance. The football team routed the opposition 75-16. The band got tired of playing the fight song when the score was 49-0 at the end of the first half. Band has been a great thing for the Urchin. He is consistently improving and his school work is improving as well. He has a core group of friends he hangs out with and he seems to be a happy kid.
Saturday I headed to visit my mom. Many of you know I have a tulmultuous relationship. Visits had been good, so we were due for a bit of drama. This time was the drama. On the good side of things, I had a nice long visit with my aunt, uncle and cousin. I rarely get to talk to them and it was good to get their perspective on things.
I came home early yesterday to spend the day with liquidlizard. We did some errands and just hung out for the day. It was kind of a lazy day.
So now I am up waaay to early in the morning for my first day of work. Wish me luck dear reader.
