I will be positive!

Well, dear reader, the hunt continues. Last Friday I had a second interview with Company X. This time it was to meet the woman who would be my supervisor. She would be working closely with whoever gets hired for the position so personality meshing is important. It seemed as though I passed the ability portion and had moved on to the personality portion. It felt like one of these reality shows where I was just waiting to be voted off.

Today, I move on to the HR portion of our program. There is some sort of pre-employment test I have to take. The women I have interviewed with don't seem to think this will be a problem. I am cautiously hopeful that by the end of today I will be employed.

Even if I don't get this job, there are some good developments on the job front. An old college buddy of mine is going to see if he can help me land a position with Bath and Body Works as a Merchandise Coordinator. He is passing my resume along as an internal recommendation to move it ahead of the pack. Another former co-worker at the newspaper is now a manager at Borders. They are hiring now and she is going to dig for my resume and give her gold star to it. By the looks of things I should have at least a job as a bookseller fairly soon.

Maybe even before my severance runs out.

Yeah, cautiously optimistic. Wish me luck reader..here we go again.
