A year ago today...

Stephanie, huh? We became somewhat close somewhere towards the end of last year. Her birthday is on the 26th; I should give her a call.

Quite a few things to write today. Now that I have completed Grade 8, the next thing is the Performance Diploma. Initially I wanted to switch to Trinity, as opposed to Guildhall which I took for my Grade 8, but recently these two boards have planned to merge sometime this year or something. Guildhall is really fucking difficult. The pieces I played for my Grade 8 is -actually- Associate Diploma level (Trinity and ABRSM level), so for the diploma I'll have to pick pieces that are even more h4rdc0r3 difficult than my Grade 8. If I want an easy way out I might just pick the DipABRSM -- but I won't improve much. I'd prefer a challenge really.

So regarding this matter there are two new things to worry about (to add to my wonderful "collection"): Which pieces to play, and whether or not I am able to sit for the diploma at all. We decided on four pieces (a programme 25-35 minutes long): A Prelude and Fugue from Bach's WTC, a full Mozart sonata, a Rachmaninoff prelude and a Ravel piece. The date of the examination will probably be next year in April, but by then I might already be out of the country if I choose to go to Singapore, New Zealand or Australia for my studies. It will be possible if I choose Canada, though, but I really don't want this to influence my judgement; I can always take the diploma over there, anyway. It just bothers me that I'll probably have to decide soon -- and I fucking hate decisions.

I'll have to go for a stupid course on traffic rules today. It will be a painful 6 hours. I actually don't know what the bloody hell it is all about, but apparently I am required to sit through it so as to get my license.

Oh, and I didn't download BoA's album, Jan & Leslie. I downloaded Muse's "Origin of Symmetry" from that Supernova site instead. WICKED ALBUM.
