Songs from the 80's that make me tingle

I'm sharing with you
some very precious memories and sensations.
Perhaps these songs make me so happy because
I learned to love them when I was 6.
Before being a snob about music.
Before pretenses.
Before understanding what any of the lyrics meant
just simply loving the music

Somewhere embedded in my head
are the memories attached to these songs.
for now they just make me happy. and at the same time very sad.

(a side note: there are absolutely no words for how this song makes me feel when I hear it....and when I was flying back from Paris there was a Pat Benatar greatest hits CD to listen to...I think I listened to this 10 times...and I love belting the really high pitched parts it in Karaoke)

When I heard it in Juno
it instantly stuck a cord with me. searching and searching for what this song was a cover of. where is the memory that this song is stuck to?
I haven't heard this in ages.
and I love it.
adore it.
her version makes me incredibly sad.
