I feel so out of it right now. Just blah. I really want it to be summer vacation so I can relax. I mean I still need to find a job for when I get back home and should really look over my Greek and Latin over the summer. But still it's a break ya know?
I've been on a musical kick like woah. Wicked, Evita, West Side Story, Les Mis, Aida etc. (No Rent though, I cannot stand it!) I'm so excited because I get to go see Wicked in NYC over summer break, which could be another reason why I want break to get here so quickly. Although, I really wish I could see Wicked with Idina and Kristin still portraying Elphaba and Galinda respectively. But hey at least I get to see it. It will be so awesome! *glee*
I have my Greek mid-term on Tuesday. We have 200 lines of The Iliad that could be on the exam so that means a lot of studying. A lot, a lot. I freakin' hate Greek exams, I love reading the Greek (especially Homer), but I just cannot stand going over all the syntax and morphology of all the words in all 200 lines. Last time it was only 100, although I wonder how much we had for Herodotus...maybe 100? I doubt it exceeded 100 because Herodotus is harder than Homer. Anyway, really want that exam to be over with.
Passed by my Spring quarter Greek professor today and gave him a smile to be friendly. Yeah…no. He just looked away. That man does not like me. At all. I swear! It is not just me. He thinks I'm a ditz and extremely stupid. I don't like him because he is an arrogant jerk who tends to pry into your private life a bit too much than I prefer. Also, it doesn't help that he called me a 'dumbass' during my final exam. I was appalled and extremely p.o.ed. It's weird because every other Greek student is in love with the man (except for me and one of my friends). I don't get it. He's an ass. But, I adore my current and last quarter Greek professor (I had him for Latin in Spring quarter as well). He’s the absent minded professor and just so cute in the grandpa sorta way. I'm glad he teaches the upper levels more often than the mean one.
I should be getting my Archaeology of Roman Cities mid-term back tomorrow. I hope I did well. I knew most everything except for the 2nd essay (out of 3) which I sorta knew but not quite. It wasn’t as long as my other two and I think I missed the point. I realized this about halfway through writing it and since I only had about 15 minutes left to take the exam I decided to just keep with it. It was crazy because people were leaving after the 1st hour and the class is 1 hour and 50 min. and we had 3 essays and a 20 min. multiple choice section. I don’t know how you can write 3 essays that are supposed to be 4 paragraphs each in 30 minutes. But hey I guess I’m just slow…somehow I don’t think that’s the case.
Gosh am I outta it. I finished pretty much all of my work save the Homeric vocab stuff which isn’t really necessary. Well…it is but yeah. I worked on it a little at least.
