Do you think his last words were "Anything could happen in the next half-hour!"? Or am I just being crass? Regardless, the man was a legend, and I'm pretty sure I'll be comforting my housemate tonight, considering how much we both loved him.
I don't really think he'd be offended that people recognise the irony of the situation - I mean, his whole LIFE was a ticking time bomb in this respect! And he obviously died doing something he loved.
I just feel sad for his wife and kids. Apparently they don't even know yet - they're out hiking in the mountains, or something. I wouldn't want to be the person who had to track them down and tell them.
