Thats seems horrid!! Seem that the county is definitely set up so that legal assistance must be done in order to accomplish simple matters. I wonder if that is to "protect" the lawyers in that area. Needless to say, I am very sorry about what you are going through. Memories can indeed bring you down and it is no help in the matter when you want to move on but the world forces you to wait. _lots of tight hugs_

I've been swearing up and down the judge and the lawyers have something going on. There's no other explanation that I can find.
