Things you don't normally see...

So I called up Rachel and had just started chatting with her on the phone when I glanced out my bedroom window. The window looks over the backyard and the driveway behind the house. I was just glancing down to see if the feral kittens were around (there's two older ones and three tiny ones...the older ones tend to come around me and purr) and I ( Read more... )

LOL. Since it doesn't contain anything that deals with work or my love life I went ahead and unlocked it. :)

I have decided that if I see my stripped guest again he might get a visit from animal control. I have no desire to see him hurt the kittens outside.

Did you know my neighbors also have chickens and are considering a goat? (in the house next door, not the other side of the duplex)

I live in an odd neighborhood apparently.

Oh, you're awesome, I'll link it up tomorrow. Be careful around skunks, seriously, because other than the possible stink, there are a lot of rabid skunks in our area.

And I don't know why having chickens and a goat cracks me up, but it sure does. Will the goat be a friend to the chickens?

Coolness. :) And I think I meant striped, not stripped. *facepalm* I must be tired.

Yeah, my first thought after "that thing is HUGE!!!" was "shit! serious possibility of rabies out there!" That's my main reason for calling animal control the next time I see him. I have my own indoor cats and I've grown fond of the outdoor ones that kind of adopted me.

I have no clue why the goat is funny. I used to have goats on the farm I lived on in AL (where my dad still lives). I just think of them as farm animals. Not animals that live in a backyard of a house that's right of bell road and just around the corner from M'boro rd.

LOL. I'm surprised my outdoor cats haven't killed the chickens by now. Apparently the chickens are notorious for escaping into my backyard during the day. *shakes head* At least I know that if I can't afford to go grocery shopping and I see one in my yard, I'll be eating well that night.
