Deadly Sins chapter 4-6
The last three chapters and Logan's blue ball affliction.
When we left off there was a killer we're supposed to be worried about but the novel was too busy shoving Logan and Skye down our throat to notice.
Chapter Four
Opens with the killer abducting one of Logan's former friends/sexual partners. He is creepy and I'm not going to focus on what he wants to do to the victim. He keeps referring to his "boss" so he's working for someone in Corbin county to set up Logan and his cousins.
Meanwhile Logan is having a nightmare about his cousin's lover dying. She was the seventh victim to be killed that was personally tied to Logan, Rafer, and Crowe. And I gotta tell ya...I feel bad for them when reading this part. It is really sad and sort of heartbreaking.
Of course all my feelings dry up like water in Death Valley when he wakes up and notes that the puppy he left outside is still whining four fucking days later. My hero. Then he rages for four pages that someone is outside, and the puppy is outside, and God, why is life so hard? Turns out it is Skye who was visiting the crying puppy. He rages at her for trespassing and tells her to take the thing away, he doesn't want it. THEN PUT IT IN A SHELTER, YOU ASSHOLE.
Author, a word of advice. If you want me to like your hero, a loyal dog companion is a good start. However, having the puppy be unrealistically devoted to him when he's nearly abusive to it is poor form.
Chapter Five
Skye has some skewed logic.

Here's a thought that keeps jumping out at me while reading this....are relationships and mostly sex that fucking important when there is a murderer running around? Skye is too damaged to even begin to think of trying for a healthy relationship and she wants one with Logan, who is even more messed up mentally and emotionally. They're not just shooting for the moon, they're shooting for Pluto.
And Amy had raved about how Logan was a great man to a then, ten year old Skye. So, here's my thought: She's fixating on him being the Be All End All perfect man. All because her dear friend said he was. It's not real affection at all but some skewed up, projection onto him. And Logan is just really horny. Also, he's finding her affection and understanding to be the perfect harbor because everyone else in the town hates the shit out of him. And likely she is exactly like his mother...
