It's 4 AM, and Jack is sitting at the table in Sakana's kitchen, nursing coffee. He does not seem happy, so whether he wasn't able to get to sleep or woke up too early, it is apparent that he did not intend to be awake at this hour.

He's taking the time to mull over his deck, having it dismantled across the table, but he doesn't seem to be doing

*Juudai walks through the kitchen door, carrying Pharaoh by the scruff of his neck. He puts Pharaoh down on the floor and rummages about in the cupboards, apparently too half asleep to even notice Jack at first. He takes out a can of cat food, opens it and empties the contents into Pharaoh's food dish.*

Argh, Pharaoh. Why couldn't you just wait at least a few more hours to be fed, instead of getting me up at 4am...

*Pharaoh looks at the food in his dish, then looks up at Juudai... then simply turns his nose up at the food and walks out of the kitchen, leaving behind a pretty irritated Juudai in the process*

Why... what... but...but...! You did that on purpose!!!

*It's at that point he's awake enough to notice that he's not the only one in the kitchen at 4am*

Oh... hey, Jack.

"Eh ah?"

It takes a full minute for Jack to completely respond, looking up at Juudai.

"..It it already morning..?"

Oh, it's 4am, but I wouldn't really call that morning just yet. I'm just up because my cat got me up for no reason! Except to probably steal my spot on the bed, which is where he most likely is now...

*Juudai sighs and sits down at the table. He notices that Jack has his deck spread out on it*

Couldn't sleep?

"Mm-mm."

He shakes his head to indicate that no, he could not.

"Strange. Dreams? Maybe. I can't tell."

[sees_the_sea]

[Isabel walks by, with a donut in one hand and a cup of soda in the other.
She dips the donut in the soda and takes a bite.]

What're you still doin' up? Don't Kings Need Their Beauty Sleep or somethin'?
