okay, so today i decided to try my hand at a batch of near-pie. i assembled my ingredients, combined them, cooked them, strained them and added alcohol.
SUCCESS!!!
my pie is a rousing success. very sweet and tasty, and you can only BARELY taste the alcohol. the alcohol i might add is 375ml of everclear to about 3/4 gallon of pie. its VERY strong. and -delicious-
during the next week, in preperation for the con, im going to brew a full batch, maybe add a little more alcohol as well. i certianly dont mind if a little can be tasted (and given the nature of the stuff... if you can taste it, its going to kill you) it serves as a warning after all.
