The rarest of rare occasions, Luke posts! I will get to the point first, and then do a small update on me.
I read LJ all the time. That is, I read, care about and am interested in all the people on my friends list. I intend to remain reading your LJ posts.
However! I get the feeling that a few people post on other blogs/sites more than they do here, and I am missing their updates/life stories. So I was wondering, if you have other places you share things (like Deviant Art, other blogging software, etc, could you paste the link here? I want to add a "friends RSS" to my daily reading in addition to LiveJournal.
Okay, about me. I haven't posted in 6 months, and really not much has happened. Just living.
Work: I am still with the same company (hi
Khedron)! It has been two years now, with the continuing role being "uncertain" for the whole last year. But we have saved six months of reserves if worse comes to worst, which allows us the luxury of planning long term things like overseas vacations. I still find the work fun, and the increased day-to-day task certainty of the past couple of months has been nice.
Play: I still play poker and a lot of video games. It has been a bumper month for video games - I have four unfinished PS3 games on my shelf, and there's Assassin's Creed 2 available!
Poker, I switched to Pot Limit Omaha because I really prefer playing postflop rather than preflop. For the non-poker people: The standard game people play now is No Limit Holdem, where you get dealt two hole cards, then three community cards (flop), then one more (turn), and finally one more (river). There is a round of betting after each deal, and the player with the best five-card poker hand using zero, one or two of their hole cards wins. Omaha is different in that you are dealt FOUR hole cards, and have to use exactly two cards from your hand and three community cards to make the best poker hand. Because there are more cards, hands are generally stronger in Omaha.
Home: The house is still just fine. I've gotten organised with chores and have been maintaining things, and even catching up with old tasks! Healthwise I am not going too well. There's been a bit of a heatwave, and other things taking up my time instead of exercise. It is sometimes hard to decide whether you are procrastinating/being lazy or really are too busy. But I set up my gym equipment under the house and have very little excuse.
Relationship:
sefieslj is awesome, but you all knew that already. I am just lucky she's mine. :D We are taking my Mum out on a wine tour today, which should be great. It looks like a beautiful day.
Now please provide me with RSSs! Also reply so I know you care. :P
