Poker for week ending Saturday 12th. (and poker night?)
I figure it'll be fun to do weekly summaries. It's probably more for me than for you.
Last week I played 11 games, spent $37.4 and won $54, which means I ended up $16.60. I placed 5 times out of 11. The funny thing is, that this was only on Sunday and Monday. I was flat out with work and thesis writing the rest of the time. I think the result had a fair bit to do with the vagaries of the cards... on Sunday I think I saw pocket Aces lose 6 times out of 7! (Two were me. :( )
Today I finished off the thesis related stuff and only a couple of hours of paid work (I'm trashed after working the whole weekend on my thesis...). All that's left is for Kevin to give the okay. I really hope he doesn't ask for many changes! :(
Back to poker. I started off this week with a come from behind win! At the start of the tournament I played like a donkey and went down to $880. However after this I focused and played much better, had a little luck (won a couple of 45/55 chances), hit the lead and stayed there!
Sefie and I want to start some nights here. If you're interested (and they'll be either play money or like $2 entry tournaments), let me know. Most likely would be Saturday or perhaps Friday nights.
