She always regretted the necessity of bending events to suit her, though living her lives and seeing ages pass had taught her that meddling was often the only way to accomplish what was needful. Being the wind had perhaps been a heavy-handed method, and inciting the demons to overwhelm the thri-kreen before that even more so, but these two must ( Read more... )

Ruk-Ruk's Google-fu is weak. All he able to turn up on search was misspelled fansites. He try again, and not let his furious angry rage overtake him. It hard, but he give mighty effort.

Someday, like a certain kobold before you, you're going to have to face the fact that the internet doesn't have a lot of answers. It's mostly lies, Buffy fandom and questions.

What can Ruk-Ruk say? Soft humans gathering in small clusters and worshipping poorly rarely gather books of importance, so Ruk-Ruk use what resources he have at hand. Plus it not like Ruk-Ruk linguistically- or mystically-inclined in first place, so this all new to him. If you think it important for Ruk-Ruk to study language of Solomon (he assume that what you mean, again this all new to him), why you not point finger toward first step? Self-study all well and good, but it always help to make sure one's study get off on right foot. Or left. Depends on how one walk, Ruk-Ruk suppose.

Look, I don't care how high your modifier is... the_grayling September 26 2006, 18:57:22 UTC
I don't know if it's important for you to study Solomnic or not, and I really don't care if you do.

You said, "Ruk Ruk is perplexed by this turn of events." So I thought I'd help point your way out of the confusion.

I'm not the one who's fond of orcs. I've always found them to be a bit lazy.

If you're really, really messed up about this, you can find the secrets on my LiveJournal, but there's a door in your way, and it's one you can't break with a Strength check.

Oh, right. You Perplex Ruk-Ruk even more when you reply in wrong place. He assume it have something to do with Dustman's (extremely delayed) recounting of Ruk-Ruk's life and times. He get it a bit better, now.

Ruk-Ruk not just orc. He Tanarruk. He not much care for regular orcs; they ARE lazy. Also few swords short an arsenal, in general. It sad state of affairs. Ruk-Ruk on other hand work hard. When he start going, he not stop 'til done, or unconscious. *unsubtle glare at long-hair*

What wrong with being messed up? Someone have to give order something to do. Strength-checks fun, but Ruk-Ruk strive to be equal-opportunity check-maker. Maybe he see what he can do.
