Title: The Chocolate Treasure Box
Pairing: Yamapi/OC
Genre: fluff
Summary: Yamapi has stayed home for 2 days and lost track of what day it was. All seemed fine until he found out it was Feb 13… the day before his big day…Valentines Day.

Yamapi walked ponderously down the hallway of Janizu Jimusho. His busy day of photoshoots and interviews was finally over, but that doesn’t mean the work ends right here. He let out a sigh and took a look at his watch. Crap… I have less then 4 hours to get everything straight. He exhaled heavily and closed his eyes to think of what to do next. He deserved all this. It WAS his fault to begin with. The fact that he is so blind and so slow, and the fact that he would probably be dumped if his lover found out what happened today.

ringggggringggggg

Yamapi’s phone started ringing at 730 am. His hair was muffled and his eyes still shut. He desperately tried to find his phone that was placed on the table beside his bed as its ringing grew louder and louder. When Yamapi finally got out of bed, it was 745 am. The sun shined into the man’s spacious room. The curtains danced with the flow of the wind, sending a soothing breeze to where Yamapi now stood. His room was decorated with plain white wallpaper, a few silver photo frames, a wooden chair and a desk.

After Yamapi came out of his shower, he hung a towel over his shoulders to prevent the water droplets from rolling onto his bare skin, while picking up his phone and checking to see that Toma had called him.

“Moshi moshi? Toma?” Yamapi asked.

“Ohayo Yama… where are you? You know its Friday and you’ve got lots to do in order for your “plan” to succeed you know!”

“…huh? What are you talking about? Its only…” Yamapi took a closer look at the date written on his phone, “CRAP! I’ve been staying at home on a break these past 2 days and totally lost track. CRAP!” He gasped in shock, only hearing the older man on the other line laugh at him.

“Haha. Well… you better hurry to work now and then afterwards go fix things up. Or else someone might get pissed if she finds out about all this.”

“Mhmmm. I know. Ahhh I gotta go now. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Hey listen… if you have anything you need… just let me know.” Toma added.

“Thanks… well then…ja~”

The rush of the city has made Yamashita hurry even more. He was now on his way to the jewelry store to pick up the ring. This should do… the ring according to her preference. A smile showed across Yamapi’s face. It has finally come to this stage…

In the family sushi restaurant in Shibuya, Dom sat in the corner seat of the restaurant, staring out the window to see the many ads printed on billboards. She was a gentle, young girl with long hair that cascaded down her back. She had just graduated from university and currently looking for a job. Although her life was quite normal, her boyfriend definitely was the opposite of that. Dom putted her head in her hands and thought of her love. They’ve known each other for a really long time now and have been together for around one year.

A sudden appearance of Yamapi has startled her as he took a seat from across. He was wearing one of his many leather jackets and black jeans. Looking good as always, Dom thought, grinning contently at Yamapi.

“Sorry I’m a bit late. I had to run some errands for the group.” Yamapi apologized, clapping his hands together and showing a face too sincere not to forgive.

“Its alright. I just came a while ago.”  Dom replied as she took a piece of tissue and wiped the sweat on Pi’s face. “Look you’re all sweaty.” She laughed at his tired expression and picked up the menu.

Yamapi only showed a pitiful face and tried to find the right moment to open up his mouth.

“Ermm… I...I-I-I…I might have work tomorrow. I’m sorry Dom. It came up so suddenly! I swear I really didn’t plan it!” Yamapi hesitated and murmured in a low voice.

“You what????” Dom asked, raising her voice now that she heard something.

“Gomenasai na dom! I know that tomorrow means a lot to you and you’ve anticipated this day for a really long time now. I’m..I’m..”

“It’s alright. You don’t need to explain anymore. I understand. It’s your job after all…” Dom tried to accept this but clearly she wasn’t able to, “Time after time this has happened when I wanted to spend more time with you. Time after time your work comes up. But it’s not like someone like me would understand ne….”

Yamapi didn’t respond. His head hung low and he swallowed hard. Now he’s really done it. He shouldn’t have said anything and just decline the job tomorrow or something.

“Dom…”

“I’m gonna go home and finish up some work. I’ll talk to you later…Bye.” She said, then picked herself up from the chair and left the restaurant.”

God…why does THIS happen at a time like this?

****
She shoved and pushed her way through this massive crowd of people at the north entrance of the Shibuya metro station.
Gosh…What did I just do? I just walked out on him like that! On top of that…my stupid blabbering. Arggg.
Even though it was the right thing to have done, dom regretted it. They rarely have arguments and she always tried to understand that it was his job and she was the one who chose to be with him. From the very moment they met back in the years, when she was still a sophomore. But she didn’t have the heart to say anything about it. Not until around five minutes ago. She loved him too much. She was afraid of losing him. Especially with a million fans out there that would die to just touch HER Yama’s bare skin, not to mention being his girlfriend. Yama’s existence in her life has now became her source of energy, she can’t possibly lose him.

Yamapi sat alone in the restaurant. His head still down, clenching his fist and staring blankly at a sheet of paper he was holding.

“Toma…Help.”

“Eh nani? Did something already happen?” Toma asked in a carefree mannar.

Yamapi didn’t know how to answer to that. After a few seconds pause, Toma was smart enough to figure.

“Sou-ka. Well you better go and find Dom-chan tomorrow and fix things up. She’s that rare girlfriend of yours who I actually like, okay. So please don’t ruin things.” The older man demanded and cut the line.

Wow…that was a lot of help. Yamapi said sarcastically and took a sip of water. Hmmm… the water here tastes different. Or maybe it’s just my moody taste buds.

It was finally Valentines Day.

Dom pulled the covers of her blanket up when someone crashed into her room. “HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!” Rukia came budging in, unaware of the fact that she just woke Dom up from a deep sleep.

“Shutup.” Dom moaned and turned the other way.

“I’ve just come to remind you that you should get ready. Its 10 am now! You’ve already wasted a whole morning of your Valentines Day with Yamashita-kun!”

“I don’t want to go out. I’m tired so you can go ahead and have fun with Toma-kun. How did you get the keys anyways?”

“Oh you know, just kinda found out that you kept an extra pair under the door mat.” Rukia smiled and shutted the door behind her as she left the room. “At least get changed and go out somewhere if you’re not going out with Yama-kun.” Her voice echoed in the small apartment of Dom’s. Geez, anyone have to wake up earlier on a Saturday? She murmured.

The beach was quiet and empty. Of course it was. It was now winter and no one would be stupid enough to jump into that freezing cold body of water. Dom took stroll on the long beach that stretched out from one side of the city to the other. She could always find peace here. Her heart sank at the sight of a couple holding hands sitting on a bench chatting. Yappari… I’m spending today alone.

Things that happened between her and Yamapi flashed in her mind one after another. They’ve actually known each other for a quite a while now, but they never came around to become friends, until some of her friends started talking about Yamashita Tomohisa of NewS.

****

“Omg… he’s a really cool guy! I met him the other day through Takeru. He said he’ll be coming to eat dinner with us tonight!!!!”

“ah… he looks familiar…” Dom said to her friends, trying to recollect some memories of this “cool” guy they’ve been blabbering about for the past month or two.

“Yea of course he looks familiar! You’ve probably seen him on TV right? He’s THE Yamapi.”

“Hmm.. We’ll see.”

At Sharon’s house, everyone sat on the sofa watching TV, but Dom could tell that half of their hearts weren’t even in this room. They were all too busy thinking about guys.

The door bell rang and all of them froze. It’s him! Sharon mouthed. They acted like nothing was going on and continued what everyone was doing while Sharon went ahead to open the door for her guest.

“Uh…Hi.” A guy with straight hair and bangs that covered most of his forehead walked in the room.

“This is Yamashita-san. I’ll get the dinner ready now!” Sharon exclaimed and hurried into the kitchen.

Yamashita smiles shyly and sat down beside Dom. He took off his glasses and ruffled his hair up so it looked more natural. She took a closer look at him, if there were such things as princes in disguise as commoners, then this is the perfect example. Suddenly, Yamapi’s hand landed on the couch and onto Dom’s hand. Her heart skipped a beat as the warm, soft skin collided with hers. Yamapi blushed and looked down, “gomenasai”. Dom returned the smile and looked away, trying her best to hide the redness of her face. The picture of his embarrassed smile repeated itself in her mind. What is this feeling? Who…? No… he’s some famous dude. But she knew she was already getting lost in his gaze. His fragrances soon surrounded Dom and there was no way to escape.

She took a sip of the hot chocolate milk in her hands and stared at the ocean. A day’s worth of time has almost passed and she was still there, sitting on the wood log by the beach. The sun shined and reflected on the surface of the water, now gold and orangey. Dom was about to get up when she heard a familiar voice.

“As I thought… you were here all day weren’t you?” a pair of hands slid beside Dom’s waist and held her tightly. She turned around and the man stepped back. It was Yamashita.

“Yama…”

“I’m sorry.” They both said at the same time.

“It’s ok now…I’ve finished all my work and I’ll stay here with you…” Yamapi said in a soft voice, “Happy Valentines Day.” He took out a pink cardboard box with a red ribbon tied to the lid, and handed it to Dom.  She carefully took the lid off. In it was handmade chocolates, that she assume, Yamashita made.

“Yama...arigatou!” She exclaimed and hugged him securely, as if afraid that if she let go he would be gone.

“Take one and try it. I made it for you last night.” Yamapi smiled and pointed to the box in her hands. There were four pieces the size just a little smaller than a palm inside. They were supposedly heart shaped, but turned out to look more like stars and circles. Dom laughed thinking about the sight of Yama wearing an apron and mixing all the ingredients together while making these chocolates. “Look at them! They don’t look anything like hearts!”

“Hey I tried!” Yama smirked.

As Dom took one piece out of the box, she noticed something. Something else was inside the box. It sparkled along with the ocean as a ray of sun shone on it. She held it in her hands and took it out of the box. It was a ring with a small luminous diamond on it.  Eh…? Dom was too stupefied at the site to react. Yamapi grabbed the ring from her and brushed his free hand down her hair. “I love you, Dom.”

Dom squeezed a teardrop out of her eye. “Baka…” She whispered then shoved the piece of chocolate in her mouth. Yamapi couldn’t help but to embrace her in his arms again. This time… he was the one who didn’t let go.
