SAM/DRG - Underestimated?

Introduction

So around 2-3 years ago I leveled up DRG subjob with the intention of using it as a 'for fun!' SJ choice on WAR and later SAM. And damn, 2 years ago, I can't believe I'm referring to past accomplishments in a video game in the increment of years. :( Damn this game.

Anyway, skip ahead some and when I first obtained relic GK I played

Our gear would be almost identical for the tests...minus obvious shit like Amano, Mars', Speed, Dusk +1 & Cerb +1. I'm like the Nq test dummy :< I'll get back to you on it once I can get my hands on an earring, seems like we play Sam very similarly though~

Eh, all that stuff (aside from relic) are small improvements lol. If you have all the best gear without those HQs you're still sitting with an extremely decked out SAM with very high damage potential. The OCDing in those HQs does make a small difference in the long run, but it's not going to change anything for these tests.

At the moment I'm sitting on 8~ or so months without seeing a V.Belt drop, but working on that hopefully.. As for Dusk & Cerb +1, I'm gonna start working on those synths after I've got abit more gil, can buy hides from Ls atleast!

You've seen my Sam gear though right :o?

Ouch, 8 months... I've personally gone about 2/50. I was camping it again recently for a period of about 3 months, but stopped last week.

Hide > Mantle synths are such a huge loss on my server too, originally I was trying that... Lost so much. :(

And yeah I've seen your gear.

0/2 on Cerb Mantle, friend's letting me craft on her leather acct! Should be able to work on Dusk/Sniper +1 with that in time too.
