A little behind on some of the stuff that has been going on... I'll see if I can catch up on all of it now. :p

Tested the Breeze Gorget with Steel Cyclone and the Soil Gorget with Rampage, not trying to measure the actual damage increase yet, just making sure that these gorgets actually work correctly with the corresponding weapon skills.
I did the same thing as before... Went into West Ronfaure and tested it out on the poor little defenseless bunnies, since they're one of the few mobs in the game that always will spawn at the same level ( which is like -1? lol). As before though, it's not an accurate way to test the actual damage increase, it's just proving whether or not the gorget works with the weapon skill. I also went /THF to guarantee that it would be a critical hit, so there wouldn't be a random chance of a critical that would throw off the test, and did them all at 103% TP.
With the Gorget:
942 consitantly.
With another neck piece:
885 consitantly without.
And just for the hell of it I tried one with a spike necklace...
894, although this damage difference doesn't really mean it's the actual % difference since they're low level mobs and I'm definately hitting a cap on each of these... It helps to make the test results consistant though, so you can see if there's a difference or not.
I also picked up the Soil Gorget a week ish ago.
Had a sudden urge to get one after thinking about how nice the accuracy improvement would be for Rampage (seeing as I was getting really nice results with Blade:Jin)... I had half the organs already, just had to get the Xzomit ones (100% drop from the parent Xzomit), took about 6 hours to finish, but it was worth it. :)
Annd.. Now for the Soil Gorget, I did the same test as before. I went as WAR/THF in Ronfaure and did them all at the same TP while working on my genocide of the bunnies.
Rather than post the screens again (unless you really want me to), I'm just giving the numbers.. All of the weapon skills only had one hit land, and with the gorget it was consitantly 168 damage, without the gorget it was 128 damage. So yeah, Soil Gorget goes with Rampage fine too despite what others may say. :P
I have noticed a pretty considerable difference though before and after between using the Gorgets and without over the last few months.. Blade:Jin is much more consistant damage and I rarely miss more than 1 to 2 hits on IT mobs (I almost always exp in Uleguerand Range now), Rampage also is really noticeable in how much less I miss hits, I haven't had any really bad Rampages since getting the Gorget... And then, with Steel Cyclone I've been able to switch to full WS gear that gives almost no +accuracy and still land it on Fafnir each of the ten or so times so far.
Overall, I'd really recommend picking up one if you can... It's worth it. I know some people that hate it and claim it does nothing and spike necklace is better, etc, but realistically I'm certain it's not the case. If I get a chance to I'll try to post some parses on actual exp mobs or higher level mobs to compaire it and possibly get an accurate number for the damage % increase.

More BC99 runs!... Did 13 more a week ago, no losses, putting the linkshell total at over 40 or so BC99 runs over the last year...
This was our 4th round of KB BC99 runs... All with no losses. I've had 4 updates now about these runs, so rather than repeat what has been said in older entrees I'm just going into the specifics of this round. The drops this set of rounds were kind of disappointing though, not nerely as good as it was before. It was still fun nonetheless, and I also got to play around on RNG. >:D
I went as RNG/WAR and brought a Blink Band (which really wasn't worth it for this type of fight)... The BC runs would last anywhere from 6 minutes to about 12 ish... We also buried the current record which was like 15 minutes, as well as our old record.
Old record was 6:50 ish, and that was pre-RNG nerf too... But really, the RNG nerf hasn't changed too much. RNG still is very powerful, it just takes a lot more effort than before;;... Regardless, it's still a powerful job, don't believe any different. :P
Those were some of the highest, average slug was probably around 1.2k ish... All with no BRD for a majority of the time, and the times I did have a BRD I asked for Prelude rather than attack (the accuracy nerf makes it painful otherwise, hate missing)... On a side note though, Breeze Gorget was amazing for Slug Shot. The accuracy bonus from it felt really noticable (missed maybe 2 WS total out of the 12 runs). I also never noticed I could get so much STR on RNG. :o
With the Rutter Sabatons I recently picked up, I could bump that up to +61... With a few more pieces of equipment I could probably get just enough to hit +70. Pretty nice for RNG, would probably hurt accuracy though.
If not for Strider Boots though I probably would've been toast, ended up kiting it a lot.. Sometimes I'd mess up though and get beat down a bit from being too close.^^;
I still managed to die at least once every BC though, lol.. Mostly just from the final meteor, which as you know will do twice as much damage as a normal meteor and kill anyone it hits...
This was a really fun part though, nothing like being the one to finish off the last 1% and cause the final meteor to MPK half the people there! >:D
I did it for almost every run I could. XD
If I didn't do it, someone else would have to!.. Which ended up being Lhexh pretty often... It was a lot of fun though, everyone enjoyed it. :)
My drops kind of sucked this round though, nothing compared to last time... The grand total for my items was something like 6.5m, it wasn't the worst, but blah. It was on the top 4 of the worst drops from the run, so yeah it kind of stunk. Hoping to get vampire earrings and triumph earrings too, as well as level another job soon, so I really need to save up a bunch of money...
These were by far the best drops as far as value goes:
Blackice got 45m for the Unsho, unbelievable... It's probably I think the 4th Unsho on this server, not many other linkshells do the BC99 runs too often, and when they do a lot of them lose. Congrats to Ice though!

Killed Jorgy again for our 3rd time, and Tiamat for our 50th... More details about it in the link.
Tiamat is basically the same as always, still some people that requested a pair of gaiters from the LS, so we're going to continue fighting it for those members. I believe there's about 3-4 or so left, although I'm not too certain. A problem lately though has been some pretty poor attendence for some of our LS events (mostly wyrms it seems), it's just the same old small group of people showing up everytime and occasionally some others, so we've been pulling a lot of gutsy attempts and new strategies to accustom our low numbers.
The latest kill on Tiamat was with, if I remember correctly, 24 people. It lasted an hour and forty minutes, no where nere our record or average times we had with more attendence, but considering the small amount of people it's really pretty good.
To top it off, it gave us some of the best drops we've seen...
As for Jorgy... We went for him again instead of Tiamat when we heard news a BST LS had defeated it earlier in the day... An hour after the gather time, we only had 19 people at Jorgy and one tank (me). No one wanted to go up there for nothing, and we were anxious to fight! So, we engaged and fought jorgy with 19 people (really much less, since we needed 5 of those people for an out PT to control adds).
Solo tanking went awesome! I brought the -% magic damage taken gear also, and got the normal 287 a hit down to 236 a hit... I could still get better, maybe even close to sub 200, my Resentment Cape wasn't in effect thanks to San d'Oria being so great and controlling everything /sigh. I could also get another Merman's earring... Other than the damage in the air, very rare TP attacks, touchdown, and occasionally Blizzaga (Lhexh and Thibeault did an awesome job stunning Blizzaga, which is almost instant, through out the entire time /cheer), I didn't take any damage. I messed up once and got hit with a melee attack after Bindga screwed my Ni timer, but with defense gear he only hit for 200-220.. I held hate the entire time, didn't lose it once.
Overall, with just 19 people the fight was going perfect. MP was fine, we were steadily damaging it, hate was stable, everything was going smoothly... Until the out PT was wiped to a bomb explosion, with them dead/wounded there was no one left to control the adds. Soon after the main alliance had to deal with Elementals and Bombs agroing mages, and things went out of control leading to a wipe. If the out PT didn't wipe, I'm almost 100% certain we could've killed Jorgy with just 19 people. We got it to 86% before the adds rampaged the main alliance, ending that attempt.
After that, more people started to gather and we all got ready for another try... This time with 24 people and two tanks, still an extremely low amount of people for Jorgy. Everything went smooth up until 25%, and we had a fucking Call For Help on him by a crazy accident. It was so aggravating, and people were pissed (including me). I really feel bad for the person who did it too, he logged off and I haven't seen him since, probably feels like shit. I'm seriously considering writing a complaint to SE about being able to CFH on certain HNMs, because honestly WTF! What good could ever come from it?!? Nothing! It should be removed... And really I think the programmers are idiots for having it be possible to do this on HNMs, it's unbelievably frustrating. Anyway, I'd rather not get into that.
We tried to recover, we had the entire Alliance log off and anyone with hate log off while I kited it around the area... The out PT didn't have hate on jorgy, so the area was still clear, making it pretty easy to kite. I noticed he doesn't seem to draw in at all no matter how far ahead of him you are, until you go out of the circle that he won't leave. Anyway, after I died it lost agro and stood in the middle. It remained CFH until it regened to 91%, and at that point we just gave up and reraised...
Now, persistant to see this damn thing die, we did it one more time... Once again it went smooth, and slightly faster than before, with the same amount of people (some left, some new ones came). Killed it with 24-26 people in about 2 hours, nere the end we had a little trouble because it decided it liked to spam the AoE wing attack that would paralyze people as well as just about every other -ga. Combined with the fact that 2 main alliance members DCed on us at the same time, and we had a poor amount of refresh to counter the damage. It took us 75 minutes to get it to 20%, and then the last 20% ended up lasting an hour. But, we beat it. :P
Some tanking Screens:
Right before the last touchdown..
Dead. :)
Drops make it all worth it.
The pole was really nice, although it really is more of a toy than anything... Too bad no one ever wants Baron Body, lol... But it sells for like 20m on AH still. I was actually thinking of trying one of the ones we make out, not so much for a DD thing, but if it really does have a 4HP/tick regen then it can be incredibly useful for soloing or resting or downtime, etc. Sort of like a fancy War Shinobi Gi for WAR, except four times better. I don't know yet..
Pretty sure it's one of our last times killing Jorgy though, he usually isn't worth the trouble. Vrtra is next on our list, planning to take him down with less than 30 people like the other two dragons. >:D

Got WAR to 75, and having some fun. >:D
First thing is first!
75 as well as capped exp as well as level 4 Double Attack. >:D
I've been spending a lot of time now on getting merit points, as well as farming and such... Before I go and level another job, which is either something like SAM or MNK, I hope to get a ton of merit points as well as farm around ~10m for final equipment. I'm planning to most importantly max out Double Attack, and once that's done I hope to finish off STR, possibly get more skill merits (thinking Axe, Sword, and maybe GA), more HP, Ninjutsu, and maybe MP too for the Cassie. I'm still thinking about it, main focus is to get merit points now and think about what to upgrade later. :p
Also, before I go any further... I wanted to thank Blackice and Sylphet for splitting a purchase of an Angel Skin for my Hecatomb Harness :)... My first attempt at making the harness failed, and they secretly split the cost for another harness and sent it to me a few days later. Really awesome of them, thanks so much. :D
I love the way it looks. :o
On the WAR forums I read a lot about 300% 2h Calamity doing really crazy damage, lately I've been trying it in exp... This was the first try:
IT BLM, lol... Since then I'm always bringing Icarus Wings, 300%TP + 2h + Calamity + Rampage = like 3-4k damage. XD
I also played around a little bit with the Ridill+Joyuese combination, and it wasn't too bad... I'm a little hooked on Rampages at 75 still though, so I haven't played with it too much. One my my first Vorpal Blades though was pretty surprising, 1k damage without 2h... Way more than I expected, especially for an IT mob.
On the HNM side, managed to cap Great Axe off of Fafnir!
The same Fafnir I did this to with just TA+Mighty Strikes... (no double attack;;)
And this to, with just TA and again no double attack...
I <3 Steel Cyclone.
It's SO insanely powerful... I've done some really devastating damage with it and I've only had it for a few weeks, and haven't had any really lucky double attacks land yet. On top of that, planning to buy more gear soon to improve it :o... Currently I have 77+64 STR and 69(I think..)+28 VIT for it, and it seems to work great.
I ran some rough tests on Sahagin in Sea Serpant Grotto while helping a friend camp Chary... I noticed that my Steel Cyclones would always hit for 1795 damage (with the exception of one double attack for 2.3k), so I started to think I was hitting a cap and tried to test different equipment. I only had time to compare Hecatomb Cap with Genbu's Kabuto... With the Kabuto I did 1680 damage pretty consitantly, while with Hecatomb Cap I did the usual 1795. I didn't expect for it to be such a huge difference, but that's what the numbers came out to be. I'm not going to say it's 100% accurate though, since it was a very short test, but all the factors stayed relatively the same... All with dia, full buffs, 300% TP, on the Sahagin.
Owned in Dynamis lately though. >:D
No double attack, and 1770... I don't even know how that happens... More to come later. :)

Just because I have to...
We got Ridill to drop twice in a row from Fafnir over the last week... The first Ridill went to an LS member that has always made an effort to make LS events and help out, but due to his new job has not had the time to stay on during certain times of the day, like Fafnir's window this week that was between 1-5 AM. This person is Blackice, and he has a decked out WAR with Ridill on his wishlist, and when it dropped I logged out immediately and onto his character and had him and another WAR, Thibeault (that has also been helping the LS a lot over the last few months) cast lots together. My lot beat the Thibeault's by 30 points. Ironically though, he got one the day after.
After getting him Ridill I decided to have some fun. >:D
The LS had sooo many ideas of what I could do to him, knowing that when he got on and saw it he'd flip out and not even care. XD
It was like 5 AM though and I would have class in another few hours ><.. So, I bought him a Subligar and put him half naked with Ridill equiped as a WAR75/DRG1 in the middle of Windurst Woods with a Mithra NPC... And also modified his bazaar, which he kept even after finding out about it. ;D
blackice_btl flipped out, wish I could've seen him when he logged on XD... Anyway, Congrats Blackice on the Ridill! And congrats to Thibeault too! You both deserved it. :D

Five metric tons of random stuff... Aka, the stuff I don't feel like making a catergory for because I'm razy. D:
Finally completed RNG AF2! Only took 1.5 years! Well, not technically "completed," I don't have AF2 Gloves, but I can switch my main job to something else now at least;;.. Going for NIN AF2 now. I was Away writing a paper at the start of a run at the trail markings, and then they dropped. XD
New record for Blade:Jin in an exp PT. >:D
As well as my highest rampage so far without using my 2h.
Leveling BLM in hope of getting Warp and not having to D3 ><... Been stuck at level 14 though ;;.. After getting raised I had 1 HP. XD
Been doing more ENMs lately, and wow... Steel Cyclone absolutely owns the Bug Boy BC in the Mine Shaft... We took away almost half his health in this single skillchain.
Btw, thanks again Shinote and Blackice for the discounted Forager's Mantle. :D
First time tanking Byakko (this was from like 3 months ago though)... It went pretty well.
1/1. <3
We had a lot of tanks for an older Fafnir run, and Fafnir ended up spawning on the last window... So, right before the window we cleared Darters to have some Thundaga fun. It was Thunder weather and Thundersday, so the BLMs went crazy. After the fight started, I decided I would wait outside the alliance and grab whatever Darters repopped and train them to the zone so they could continue to do it. 6 T to VT darters all attacking me, and with my full evasion gear I barely got hit. XD
With WAR finished and more time on my hands, as well as a desire for merit points.. I've had more chances to try DD NIN, and it's seriously insanely powerful... Have yet to be outdamaged, and I hope to PT with Blackice and Thibeault again soon with their Ridills to see how it does against WARs with Ridill and Adaman Hauberk... It has beat MNKs and other WARs and DDs so far, but haven't tried Ridill... 2 separate parses with different exp PTs/people, all of which had really good equipment. :P
I had an extra fight from a half-dead CFH mob, and one WAR missed a fight from death.
/angry
If there's one thing you NEVER want to do as NIN, it's tank the Dune Boots NM... /nightmare... A MNK that counters often, attacks fast, and spams AoE to clear Utsesumi. Grats to Imperius on the boots though!
Random pic tanking Fafnir...
A common result of boredom inbetween Fafnir windows... The formation of cults.
That's not nice...
Just because Spud asked me too...
And how could I resist...
I bet the NRA has something to do with this...
Don't you just want to pinch his cute little cheeks?
New Dynamis-Beaucidine high...
/joy
Thanks everyone for the help. :)
Number of people at last KB camp...><
Fun fight... Not an effectice way to farm Wyvern Skin though =(. Solo is scary.;;
Just though this was funny. XD
Soloed my Ru'Hmet map a few months ago, it's well worth picking up IMO.
Me in the process of soloing it, making HUGE trains.;;
Finally put my Air Tank to use...
We absolutely owned the thing...
It died in two SCs, under one minute.
No more leaping boots for WS gear!
New NIN WS gear stats. >:D
More Ouryu BC fun..
Gilsellers blow. It's even more sad that he was in a PT too... Oh, and he's also Taru.
Everytime I die people unreasonably think that now good items will drop... And as you can see, this is OBVIOUSLY false.
;;... I don't wanna die anymore..
I just thought this was tooo funny..
And while on that topic, we managed to see a SSJ Fafnir few weeks ago...
Insane, lol... Those programmers are evil.
And lastly, some really nice scenery we found after doing an ENM in Bearclaw Pinnacle... It's really beautiful. :)
The end. :D
