I've been waiting on a couch for the apartment for going on 2 months now. For two months, it's been nothing but pillow floor seating for Susan and I, and it really makes the idea of hosting any guests a little ridiculous. People are so used to sitting on chairs now, they just look at me like, "what do I do" when they see a living room, sans sofa.
And now I have to call around and see if any stores have the pink Nintendo DS in stock, because somebody has been dropping hints for months. And I have to reward her, because, even though I basically had to demand it of her, she's begun exercising with me.
After a year of living lazy, it's really hard to push yourself to do anything, really. When faced with the choice between being out of breath, sweaty and in pain or playing video games, drinking beer and eating pizza, it's hard to pick what you need to do over what you want to do. So I have to give her credit for that.
