My name is ruizbe82, and I'm a sew-a-holic.
I made myself another skirt last night.
It was so easy to make (or am I just getting faster at it?) that I now wonder why I haven't always made my own clothes in the past. But not only is it easy, it's a lot of fun as well as fulfilling. Yeah, it's nice to wear what you made with your own hands, just like it's nice to take a bite of a homebaked loaf of bread.
I love this skirt. It's a layered skirt, with a shorter overskirt and longer underskirt in two different, fun fabrics. It has an elastic waist, which makes it easy to sew together as well as easy to put on.
I will have some pictures soon.
I have also bought some new fabric for some baby shoes for a friend of mine who just had her baby. I'm excited to try out this new pattern as I just got it for FREE off the internet. How cool is that? But then again, you can find a lot of great things for free online. I also got some other free patterns online, including for cloth diapers and other baby items. All of these things come in handy for me since most of my peers are having babies right about now and baby items in stores cost so much more money. So I make my own gifts at a fraction of the price. Isn't it great?
I have also finished the baby quilt for Joe & Mary Ellen's baby girl, as well as the ring sling. I'll take pictures of those as well.
I want to try my hand at another
Nappy Bag, a pattern I bought from Amy Butler. I've only made one so far, and know I could make more of these and use them for a million and one purposes aside from diaper bags.
I have so many fun things to sew right now. :)
