San Francisco here I come!

May 23, 2006 23:12

Tomorrow we leave for San Francisco. For the first time in my life I am leaving Europe. There are five of us going - four students and our wonderful teacher. We're staying the first few days at a hostel beside the Golden Gate Bridge and the last in families in a suburb called Pleasanton (wtf? ^^). We're going to be performing at the Swedish Church (which is actually Norwegian, but whatever...), at a couple of soirées and together with a Real American High School Choir at their spring concert. We're doing the Star Spangled Banner in five parts :P. Plus I am going to turn 18 next Monday. Finally!!!!!!!

We meet at the airport tomorrow at twenty past seven, at the latest. We'll arrive in San Francisco at around half four, local time. After 10:45 + 3 + 2:40 hours of traveling - we've got a three-hour break in Heathrow. So, at the moment few things are making me sad. Haven't managed to download anymore Crossing Jordan episodes (thanks Eeva! btw, I've got episode 8, 19 and 21 from season 5 downloaded in some way that I'm not quite sure how ^^), would have liked to - but hopefully I'll be able to find the DVD-box of the first season in SF. Oh, and I've got myself a really, really sore throat = BAD. Especially if you're singing. My sore throats tend to spread to the ears... = not good if you're flying. All I can do is hope for the best and hope, hope HOPE that this is not going to be any worse than usual - I'm rarely sick for more than a few days...

If I get the chance I'll write some things when I'm there, otherwise, I'll be back! :D
