Wowy wow wow
So what have I done with my day so far, you ask? Well, I couldn't just let my now 105 available icon slots go empty, now could I? No, I certainly could not.
And fuzzah! I suddenly had to choose which ones of my pretties I would use. See, I've realized that i'm a bit of an icon whore, and have steadily been collecting them since I got onto LJ. So picking and choosing was a bit of a task. But it is done! And now I have more icons than I can shake a MALP-on-a-stick at.
OH! Right! How could I almost forget? I GOT MY TICKET TO CREATION'S VANCOUVER STARGATE CON!!! *is so excited* Got the Preferred Weekend Package (gonna see the sets, teehee!). T, A, and C are also going (A, hurry up and get your LJ up-and-running! =D). Martin Wood will be there *bows before the master* and I'm hoping *crosses finger, toes, and everything else* that DH will be there as well. Anywhos, never been to Vancouver before (never been west of Ontario before, for that matter. Well, except to Las Vegas, but that doesn't count because it's not Canada) so this is gonna rock. I may not come back, even =D I'll just live on the Atlantis set. They have room behind the stairs where the lightbulbs are, right?
And today, sadly enough, is hot. Yes, yes... I'm as shocked as you. See, I like autumn. And today's throwback to this summer's sauna-ness was not cool. As an ode (of sorts) to autumn, here's what I like about season the third:

[X] The smell. Autumn always has this fresh, crisp smell that I adore. Summer does not have this, and often attacks me with it's armies of pollen.
[X] Colours! It's so pretty when everything's not just green.
[X] Pumpkin pie. This, my friends, is the best food ever. Ever.
[X] Pumpkinfest. In a backwater little town near my backwater little town they have Pumpkinfest right before Halloween each year. The school kids carve horrendously funny pumpkins which are then put on dispay at the centre of town on these three spire-esque towers, one of which as a huge-ass pumpkin head at the top (kinda creepy, if you think about it). But: they also have a parade (who doesn't like parades mainly consisting of local farmers and their tractors?), funnel cakes *squee*, crap to buy, and of course, pumpkin pie.
[X] Halloween! I adore this holiday. I think it's right up there after Groundhog Day (no, I'm quite serious). And methinks, this year, I shall wear my SGA outfit, 'cause I'm just that cool. Oh, and stealing candy out of the bowl near the front door is fun, too.
[X] Clothing. I get to wear all the comfy, cozy sweaters, mits, hats, and scarves that would otherwise earn me weird stares throughout the warmer months.
[X] Going back to school. After 18 years of school, after becoming dependant on the drug called education, who decided I had to get a "real" job, eh? *cries* I like writing essays, and doing research, and all that crap. This will be my second fall of not returning to school. Boo-urns. I'm old, and it sucks.
[X] Hot apple cider. Yummmm.
