Hello. You seem interesting, and we have things in common. I've friended you. If I seem weird and stalkerish, tell me to push off. If I just seem weird, maybe we can go somewhere with that.

hey! don't worry, we're all weird here. i've friended you back, so no worries ^_^

had a look around your lj - what kind of history are you interested in? and most important of all: Jeremy, Richard, or James?

My favorite is Stuart England, but I'm lying to grad advisers while I apply and saying I'm interested in British ex-empire and the implications that has in the new American Empire. For instance, Iraq and that big bag of bull. Only I use anthropological words (that's what my degree is in) and relate our presence in Iraq to white colonization through time, and I don't call it a big bag of bull.

And... James. Though I'll take them all.

Cool! Are you currently in the middle of an MA then? Where at? I'm currently applying for postgrad over in the UK.

And... good choice ^_^ But, yes, any of them will do.

I'm applying to an MA program in New Orleans currently. I was accepted to a program last year, but my mom got sick (though she's doing fine). My husband and I decided to stay in the area for the time being, and I'm reapplying locally for Fall 2008.

UK, you say? Our intention is to eventually move to England. That's where we want to end up. :)

Good luck with your application! I can't wait until I'm all finished with mine.

I'd love to live in the UK - or somewhere else in Europe. Luckily they have a scheme set up where if you graduate from a UK university, you can stay for another year without needing any work permit, which is so hard to get. Two years in England? That's a pretty good start ^_^
