Everything changes
I've just read that they'll be tearing down the Jock Harty Arena at Queen's next month. It's making way for a bigger, better student centre that will probably be completed a decade from now. They've already demolished a couple of blocks worth of old brick houses that have housed students for years. When I was there last fall for Homecoming, the street that I had walked down so many times from my house in second year looked strange and desolate.
Anyway, the arena going is sad because it was the where us as first years were greeted, where I had countless exams, and where convocation took place. A lot of history in that one, rather bland, building.
