x This is the origin of my username: Back in the day (read as: college), I put up a pretty big argument as to why Sodom and Gomorrah were punished. The Religious Education teacher naturally said "because they're gay". I said, "no, it's because they were unhospitable and were obsessed with carnal pleasure." The Ruins of Sodom therefore stands for what people believe Sodom and Gomorrah were punished for, not really delving deeper and past their homosexuality.
