Pairing: none? possibly Loki/Sif
Prompt: Odin doesn't get the wake up call because Thor never marched out to Jotunheim. So he gets to become king, and everyone discovers he's a really *lousy* king. Meanwhile, Loki's there beside him smoothing things over (like Thor's temper) and generally being an adviser... Lousy king, Power-high!Thor, Scorned!Odin, Stressed!Loki.
Comments: It's nice to see a fic that explores what would have happened had Thor taken the throne and people begin to realize just how unfit Thor was for the position and how some of Loki's skills, previously dismissed, could be of some good use. I want to disagree with the violence Thor displayed but when I think about it, Thor was also stressed and in the comics, the range of violent reactions he has is wide and varied. I have a thing for desperate, self-sacrificing, cunning characters and Loki fits this to a T!

Pairing: Fandral/Loki
Prompt: When Sif loses her temper in the throne room, she draws her sword before anyone can stop her and attacks Loki. But she doesn't hit him, she stabs Fandral who has thrown himself in between her and Loki. So, Fandral is taken away to the healers and Sif gets thrown in the dungeons for high treason (she tried to kill the king after all), leaving Volstagg and Hogun to try to get to Thor. In the mean time, Loki is trying to come to terms with that someone - outside of his family - would sacrifice themselves for him. When asking Fandral he simply replies that Loki is his king, and also his friend - not to mention Fandral owes Loki his life several times over.
Comments: Yes! I don't know why but I really like Fandral/Loki and this is a good (albeit short) one. Their dynamics just fit.
An Unexpected Confession As Seen By Tony Stark by sexy cassandra

Prompt:During a battle with The Avengers, Loki confesses that he loves Thor. Awkward silence imminent.
Comments: Super cute though Loki is still his prickly self.

Prompt: So in Thrymskivida from norse myth, the frost giant Thrym gains possession of Mjolnir and demands Freyja in return. I want a fic where Thrym demands Loki as a consort. Odin's like "Pppffff, your funeral, man' and poor Loki gets bundled off to Jotunheim. I'd love some cultural relativism here - Thrym expects Loki to be very grateful that he 'saved' him from the Asgardians,
Comments: Pretty freaking hot but, more than anything, I was intrigued by the pairing.

Prompt: Inspired by this pic. At Ragnarok (or any similar apocalypse), Loki and Thor are both fatally wounded and know it, and die in each other's arms.
Comments: For some reason, this story wouldn't leave my head, especially not after that picture. The emotions and sort of acceptance kept coming back in the back of my mind.
