I missed some GW and 1X5 action, scoured the internets and somehow, I stumbled upon BlackIce. I'm still not sure what happened, honestly but the fandom is pretty satisfying. It's like the world of Thor mixed with the dynamics of Harry/Snape, sorta. Except for the fact that Jack is much more Slytherin.

(Game Theory summary) Six months after Gwyn's defeat of the once Unseelie King, Augus Each Uisge, Gwyn has the fae waterhorse locked down in a cell, beneath the Seelie Court. In a difficult position himself, ruling an unwanted throne and waiting out the years between now and the time he can step down as King, Gwyn finds himself unable to stay away.
Comments: A warning: this series is not for the squeamish; loads and loads of porn, noncon and BDSM. That aside, I fell in love with the original characters. Usually, I'm not too much of a fan of original characters but Not Poignant's OC's are complex, intelligent, and thoroughly interesting. They have their own back story and Not Poignant writes some of the best character interactions I've ever read, fanwork or otherwise. Well, more accurately, it's some of the best weaving of character history and interactions. Character's limited perception is taken into account and misunderstandings can happen in the most organic way as they try to understand each other, sometimes with very brutal methods.
I love Gwyn. He very much reminds me of Berserk's Griffith. They both have a ruthless, manipulative, indomitable will and you can't believe how happy I am to find Gwyn older, wiser, more vulnerable, and less controlled (and if also slightly less clever). I love what I've seen of the Raven Prince and Augus's role as an antagonist is not a black and white issue.
