Nothing too drastic today, but I thought I'd share a little info with you, to get you in the White Apples mood...
You see my pretty profile pic? The one with the lovely apple that represents my current work? Well, ever since fanfiction.net have decided to add covers to fics (since before, actually), I thought... 'Well, dang-nabbit! I've just gotta do some pretty computer magic and have the apple appear in different colours at different points in the fic! It would be great, a real definition of 'Colour-Coded For Your Convenience'!'
Well, ever since some lovely person gave me Photoshop for the sole purpose of 'getting me to leave him alone' (I love you too!) I have been able to do just that. In fact, in an afternoon, the apple has been tinted all the colours I need!
Now, there is a good reason for it, very story-related: Ever since I first found the plot-bunny more than two years ago, I thought... 'Hmm, the fic should be split into sections named after colours! LOL' and that's what I've done. So, the apple should change in accordance with that. To give you an example of what you'll be seeing, here is the apple set for the first section, 'Yellow':
Gorgeous, huh? I don't usually go for yellow, but even I have to admit that it's lovely. Whenever the section is about to change from now on, I'll give you a snippet of the new apple, so you can enjoy it in all its glory.
Why? Because I'm a nice person, that's why!
I think that's it now. I just wanted to share with you my computer magic.
