Movin' On Up
Hello,
I suppose you're all wondering about the huge wall of silence that's been on this page for a while now. Why there have been no updates after June 21st (when I vowed to continue business as usual), no new fic chapters, not even a note to tell you how I'm doing...
Well, here it is.
As well as suffering with the ever-dying functions of my laptop (as I have been doing for the past year or so), I have been going through something of a Life Shift. I have been focusing on my original stories, attempting to contact local tekkies and 'strongarming' them into fixing my machine, looking for answers... It's all been rather stressful. It's guaranteed an inability to focus on anything. The tekkies are too busy riding around in their Mitsubot, the story is going well but resists the urge to be tamed or like me as much as I feed it, and the idea of looking for answers erroneously suggests that there are actually answers to be found.
As much as I'd love to tell you all about that, the main issue is something else altogether.
You see, on June 21st, I sat my final exam. It was in Japanese, I may have flailed a bit too much, but it was better than I could have hoped for. Now, on August 15th, I will be awaiting the news as to whether my exam performances were enough to get me into university. Uni. The Big U. My god, the emphasis on it all gets rather cliched if you let it. Still, I am currently waiting on the result right now. If I've got it, then I'll be moving to another city in September, a beautiful one full of history and 365 pubs. If I don't, it's another high school for a year, wherein I'll gather the results to attempt university admittence next year. It'll mean postponing all my plans, a sucky computer for a while longer, and holding off on acting on my answers. While both will mean a slowing down on my progress here, it'll be worse if I get the thumbs down.
As you can see, the answer I receive very soon, once the UCAS website kicks back up again, is a life-changer. I've been far too nervous over it lately. Once today is over, I'll be able to move on with whatever I've got, and do my best to carry on.
This post seems like more of an excuse than anything else, but to be honest it's a preemptive. Whatever result I get, I'll tell you soon enough. This is just to let you know what I'll be going on about.
Thank you. I've got nothing left to do while I wait but get hot and wet for my amusement. The bathroom awaits.
