still at home
Well, it's been awhile since I updated, but not much has happened. I am still at home. Being at home has it's ups and downs. Lately there has been a lot of downs because I have just been super stressed out. I have been studying for the GRE which is going fine, but it is so hard to take practice tests at home. There are just too many people that live here! When Carly and I are the only ones home, you would think I would be able to concentrate, but no, she won't turn off the tv for a couple of hours. Today I resorted to ear plugs and I could still hear the show she was watching!! (which ironically was Laguna Beach... ha) Anyway, I have just been super frustrated by that. I have worked with my mom a couple of days which isn't too bad. I got paid yesterday, so that was even more fun. I have also painted for my uncle for 2 days last week. I have 2-3 days left for that job. It's nice though cuz I know he will pay super well :) I do a ton of housework which isn't that much fun. My mom tells EVERYONE that she loves when I am home because her house is always clean and I want to be like "you have 2 other kids when I'm not here." They just won't do it though. I guess Charlie's right, I am just a pushover. I like to see it as I don't want to cause a fight if it's not necessary. ugh...
The worst news I bear is that I have poison ivy. Most people get it in like one spot, they put some calamine lotion on it and it goes away. When I get it, I have it from head to toe w/in 24 hours. It started as one spot on my back and yesterday it had spread from there, up to my neck and all the way to my toes. Good times. I had to call the doctor and get meds for it bc aparently mine cannot be treated externally. I'm one big itchy mess on steroids (for the poison ivy of course). Speaking of the steroids, they make me super hungry which isn't cool. I don't want to come out of poison ivy like a hippo :( The good news is that it will be gone in 6 days.
The best news is that I am going to Champaign on Thursday. I'm super excited. I am having a fancy dinner with Nancy and Kavita Thurs. night and I am spending the rest of the weekend with my Charles. It's so weird to me that Nancy is moving back to Chicago in 2 weeks. I feel so old :( Anyway, I think I am ready for school to start. I just want to be back on campus and back to a routine (other than the fact that I have to fill out a bazillion applications and right my personal statement). Well, I suppose I am going to get back to reviewing some geometry before I make dinner...
