So yesh. Anime Boston.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT-BALLS THAT WAS A FUN TIME! That about sums it up. It was wonderful. I enjoyed it. I think I'm starting to really like Anime a lot more, between school and the jokes I don't get, I really need to start watching it. *needs Full Metal Alchemist* But by far, my favorite panel thingy that I went to was the Stage Combat one. I LOVE stage combat. If I were to get into shape, I'd like to start doing it more professionally. You know, like maybe BE a stunt person for community theaters (on top of just being in theater). It's just... FUN. I like acting, I like fighting, this is acting during a fight, so it's RIGHT up my ally. And the guy teaching us, on top of being awesomesauce, is the brother of the guy who played Goku on DBZ.
Also, the AMV contest was fun, even if we DID get there late. You should all watch the AMV that won best in show:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd6izyWr9dA And I has cool arts. Utena and LOTS of Toph. I also bought a yaoi that has a dissapointing lack of porn in it. It was shrink-wrapped and everything. *sigh* better luck next year. Um... Masquerade was wicked fun. Erica and Sam's skit made me giggle.
Um... what else... Erica and Kate both got wicked cool commissions done by artsists in the Artist Alley. And Kate should be getting an... um... VERY naughty picture of her Marvel Universe character soon. It's gonna be sent to my house to forstall awkward questions from her family.
MM... and then there was the train ride. Oh yes. Now THERE'S an adventure. For starters, Carty had a HORRIBLE day. Stepped in feces in the elevator (gross). Missed his train, so he had to argue with his parents about getting home. Which sucks. Kate, Erica, and I all made our train fine. Getting off though... that was different. We were having issues grabbing our bags, and by the time we made it to the door, the train was starting to move. Kate was already on the ground with most of our bags. But Erica and I actually jumped with the last of them. I jumped out of a MOVING TRAIN.
It was quite the rush. then we took a taxi to Erica's house, and Kate drove me home, and ended up staying the night. It was fun. ^_^
Who else can say they leapt from a train on the day they turned 21?
