I'm sure I heard on the radio that there were traffic accidents everywhere tonight. Someone waived the toll, northbound on the Gateway bridge to clear up traffic, which gives anyone local - or with a clue about bureaucracy- how dire the congestion was.
Driving to the airport for my parents in peak hour, I encountered slow-downs, back-ups, jams, wedges, tows, road works, diversions and an alternate route that made no sense (seriously,
Lomandra drive, wtf?). The least interruption was on the biggest trouble spot: even flow down the Gateway along Kingsford Smith. The back leg was eighty minutes; the round trip, two hours, spent needing a toilet.
I need to sort my iPod by what potential passengers tolerate.
The best ice cream is now Peter's Tahitian Vanilla.
