hailmen

May 19, 2005 19:31

The home network is once again sapping strength from the Intraweb after we pulled the plugs for a lightning storm. This wouldn't be too unusual except that as things started to get going it began to hail, and kept hailing until the hail was so deep it looked like snow.

The news was full of clips of people throwing hail-balls at each other and making hail-angels on the ground.

In Brisbane.

In Winter.

Amazing.

I turned up the last disc of Big O towards the end of it, fulfilling the ancient pledge that I might eventually complete my memory of the series. Unfortunately, it had been so long since I had seen the first three, by the time I finally watched the conclusion tonight I had forgotten what had already happened. Something about tomatoes. And barcodes.

All in all it seemed a ripping good yarn, though I won't know this for sure until I've seen the first three discs again.

Maybe in a few months' time.
