I just realized there was a movie that came our in 1985 called Gotcha!. The movie has the same premise as StreetWars which is to hunt down another player and assassinate them by shooting them with the paint gun. I think this gave rise to the current game called Paintball. I believe the reason there was because the people who made the movie or vice versa model the sales of a toy gun with painballs in toy stores all over the place.
You know this leads me to believe Street Wars (www.streetwars.net) was modeled after this movie/game/scenario and is unoriginal in respect to concept and the departure from the original 80's game is that Street Wars uses water guns or some similar H2O shooting device.
I emailed the guys who promote Street Wars who responded by telling me Atlanta may be next on the list of cities this group will conduct a game though I say why should we wait on them as they could not necessarily hold a patent or copy right on the game due to the fact it is not fully original.
I think I am going to look into such a scenario to start a game here in Atlanta. What does everyone think?
