Accentuate the Positive.... Eliminate the Negative

Last night I stayed up pretty late, I went to bed about 2am. That's rare, especially when I have to work the next day. I guess when I am having good days, I don't want them to end. I took the ex out to lunch again. We talked, we laughed, we reminisced about our past, these things had to be done. We broke up 3 years ago, and hadn't seen each other for 2. All of the reasons why I fell in love with her were there, however, I didn't pay as much attention to them as I had before.... Plus my mind was on someone else.

I spent most of Friday talking to a woman I have been wanting to make contact with for a few weeks now. She is just as nice as I hoped she would be. No one is without "ex baggage", but hopefully, I can help her "safely" store hers where I put mine. ;)

So anyway, I woke up at 5:30 this morning very energetic. Not bad for 3 hours of sleep.
I jumped in the shower, ironed my clothes for work, then got dressed. I was done by 6, with 2 hours to kill because work doesn't start for me until 9 am. Since I am trying to eat better, and drop a few pounds, I decided to get a nice morning walk in, so, I drank a glass of milk, I grabbed my walkman and my sweater, then went for a walk.

1st song: Gwen Stefani "Hollaback Girl"
Wow!!! What a song can do to help your day!!!!!... So, I Went-A-Walkin'
2nd song: Will Smith "Switch"
3rd song: Alicia Keyes "Karma"
It seemed like all of the songs were being played just for me, too keep me in high spirits.. And I loved it!
4th song: Rod Stewart "Have I told you lately?".... Um, yeah I changed the station.. No sad and mooshy songs today Mr. Man!!
5th song: Usher and Ludacris "Yeah!"

I walked, listened to music, thought of a certain "cute" young lady... next thing I knew, I was Downtown.. That's a 60 minute walk. It really didn't seem that long.
How am I gonna get home in time to get the car, and get to work?
Ahhh don't sweat it.. I hopped on the bus downtown, sat in the back, and I was at work, with 20 minutes to spare. The boss was here when I got in, but he didn't bug me too much. Please let today stay good...
