Only Mine chapter#7

Hey!!!

I’m back with this one too.

Thank you for reading.

Kisses and hugs :]

Silvia: I was 16 years old…---she started to say----I lived with my parents in Mallorca. My father was the captain in the merchant navy. We used to live in a huge house, full of comfort, but where I always missed the most important thing. Their love. My father was never in home, and when he was there it was like if I was invisible to him. And my mother, I saw her more but she was always with her friends or buying new things. They didn’t pay attention to me at all. ---Pepa felt Silvia’s body tense and she wrapped her in her arm as much as she could and concentrated in listening her.

-        One day I met Joaquin, he was the pretty boy. All the girls were after him and I was a very shy girl back then. He asked me to go out with him for a long time until I accepted. One day we were kissing, it was just a kiss. But things got out of my control and we ended up….well you can imagine.----Pepa squeezed her more into her arms at the thought of Silvia in Joaquin’s arms--- To have been my first time I have no complaints but practically we were kids….and we didn’t use protection. One month later I found out that I was pregnant and when I told him he was shocked so he broke up with me because he wasn’t prepared for that. I had no choice but to talk to my father although I was dying of fear. He forced me to abort…---she paused to process the pain she was feeling--- there were complications and…they did this to me, they left me unable to have children ever again.---she began to sob.

-        But to my father It wasn’t enough to ruin my life this way. He brought my mother and me to Barcelona where he forced me to marry Lucas. I was only seventeen and I had a husband.---she said with bitterly--- he was twenty and although he was kind and good to me I always hated him because he had me immersed in that life. ---Pepa gently kissed her hair. Silvia shuddered. She almost forgot that she was telling all this to Pepa.

-        Do you now understand why I have so much pain in my soul?

-        I’m sorry to make you remember all that baby….I’m very sorry. ---- She hugged her laying her chin over Silvia’s hair. Now she understood her anger against her father.

-        You are the best that has happened to me in years, Pepa. ---Pepa kissed her hair and they were exchanging the heat of their bodies while Pepa’s hands tried to comfort and calm Silvia.

-        What about you? ---Silvia said after a while.

-        Me what?

-        I told you the story of my life and told you about my family, I want to know about yours.

-        My family is one of the best things in my life. But they are all in Sevilla.

-        Are you the only child?

-        No, I have two older sisters

-        Oh! How cute. You are the baby one ant the family’s toy.---she felt her laugh under her body.

-        Let’s say yes.

-        Do you get along with them?

-        Yeah, well….the relationship with my father is not as good as I wish. He never liked my decision of dedicating myself to painting---Silvia squeezed her hand.

-        Is that why you left home?

-        Yes, I left when I was nineteen.

-        Very young. ---Pepa smiled.

-        Yes, but back then I was already working selling my own paintings and drawings on the streets.

-        You never studied art?

-        No.

-        Have you ever thought in going beyond?

-        Beyond?

-        Yes, having a gallery…something more formal…

-        I don’t know, I have never really thought about it.

-        It could bring you more money.

-        Money is the last thing I care about in life. Yes, we need it to eat and buy clothes and the money I earn is enough for that.

-        I love the way you think but you should be more ambitious.

-        Ambition is good to some point. ---She made a grin-however it is impossible to make a gallery or that sort of thing. For that you need to have a capital base.

-        Well…..

-        No, don’t even think about that.

-        But…---she complained.

-        No Silvia! --- she said flatly---and we better stop talking about that…okay?

-         Okay. ---she said with a childish voice. Pepa smiled and started to kiss her on her face.

-        I have a gift for you. --- Silvia frowned and turned to sit on the opposite side facing her. Pepa pulled out a blue cloth bag and took out two rings. --- These---Pepa said placing the ring on Silvia’s finger--- is so you could never forget about me. ---she placed the other ring on her finger and looked tenderly at Silvia..

-        Forget about you? Pepa, the only thing I think about all day long is you. How could I forget about you?

-        You shouldn’t think just about me.

-        Why not?

-        Because this….what we are experiencing is somewhat uncertain, baby. What about if we have to leave it? I want you to be happy even when I’m gone.

-        Pepa, are you thinking about leaving me?

-        What? Of course not, Silvia. That would never cross my mind. But ….do you realize that our relationship is something forbidden? We can only see each other by hiding. ---Silvia caressed her cheek.

-        I’m sorry to make you go through this, my love. I’m really sorry.

-        You are not making me go through nothing. I want to be by your side, but sometimes it hurts having to share you.

-        I have already explained that…

-        Yes…---now was Pepa who caressed Silvia’s cheek. --- I’m not going to ask you for more sweetie. I’ll be there for you whenever you want. And these rings are our reminder that we have each other, that we are in love and that we will be always there for each other. --- Silvia looked away, watching the city. The evening began to fall.

-        I wish I could be free as you.

-        Then take a chance Silvia.

I’m scared, Pepa. My father would never let us live in peace. Do you understand? You don’t know him. I know he will never accept our relationship. --- She looked away.---it’s better to continue like this.---Pepa’s heart sank.

-        Whatever you want, but think about the pain we are causing to each other with this. ---Silvia looked at her watch and realized it was quite late.

-        I have to go back; Lucas should not be long in coming home. I think the soccer game is over by now. ---Pepa stood up and helped her to stand.

-        We would talk about this later okay? ---she told her when they were standing. Pepa nodded and Silvia kissed her gently.

Suddenly, Silvia asked.

-        By the way….you didn’t spend a lot of money on the rings. Right?

-        Who cares? Is a gift.

-        But…

-        I accepted without protest your gift remember? ---Silvia grimaced.

-        It’s different.

-        Why? Cuz you have money and I don’t?

-        Pepa no….

-        Forge it Silvia. ---she started to walk but Silvia stopped her.

-        Why you put words in my mouth?

-        Because that’s what you meant.

-        You know perfectly that is not true.

-        Stop it. Okay? --- She sighted and Silvia caressed her curly hair.

-        I would never think that way. Do you hear me? I don’t care if you win millions or barely survive. You are my love and I love you the way you are. --- Pepa was angry but when she heard those words she softened her gesture.

-        Thanks for the gift. ---she said half smiling. Pepa couldn’t resist and kissed her. First with tenderness then with passion, until her hand started to caress her body. Silvia sighed on her lips. --- we should have done this long ago.--- Pepa’s eyes sparkled with fun.

-        I won’t take long. I swear. --- She said with malice.

-        I don’t like it so quickly.

-        You’ll enjoy sweetie…--- she started kissing her neck and laughed

-        I have no doubt. ---The kissed again and walked toward the car without stop touching each other. Pepa opened the backseat door and lay on top of Silvia that laughed with fun in the midst of passion. Without knowing that it might be the last time that she would have Pepa in her arms.
