Here's to a great friend. A girl who is never afraid to be different. Someone who deserves much more than life has given her, but takes it all in stride. She had defeated many foes, stuck by the side of many friends, traveled many journeys, and drank many a drink to be drunk.
She helps the weak find strength, the arrogant find humbleness, and the small find pride.
She has been my friend through many years, and for that I am grateful.
Grateful for the smile I know I will see, each and everytime she is around. Grateful for the smile I know she will share with me, as it spreads onto my lips. Grateful for the fun I know we will have each time she starts scheming, and for the adventures she given me in the past.
And yet I pray...
I meditate to my Higher Power, that she will have her blindfold removed...someday. To chance that she may see how she affects others. To see how her energy spreads like wildfire, and her life brings happiness to many. To see that she is admired and liked by all she crosses paths with. To bring hope to her that her recognizing of her purpose in life awaits her down the road, and that she will come to it when the time is right. But she is living it. Her purpose is clear to her friends. I hope her fear dissolves as she goes through life, and that she always enjoys the journey.
I hope she realizes how deeply she is loved, that lives were changed under her influence for the better.
