Last night was my friend's 26th birthday. She's never celebrated her birthday because in addition to being completely fucked up, her parents are Jehovah's Witnesses. So, we threw her a little surprise party with 5 people who love her. It was awesome.
Yesterday was also my
little brother's 22nd birthday. He is now married with a one-year-old step-son and a baby boy named after our father due on September 19th. He says he's been clean for over a year and I hope he is. His birthday also means I'm almost another year older.
Today was Morgynne's Big Show for her second camp session this summer. She also went in July. In July, she did stilts, unicycle, and drums. This session, she did stilts and Trapeze. I have pictures from the first session on my laptop, but I'm writing this on my parents' computer and only have access to the ones taken
After the camp thing, I went to my sister's house. She ran out of Diet Coke, so I offered to run to the store. Being unfamiliar with the area, I got discombobulated on the way back from the store and stopped to turn around. I was making a three-point turn and was waiting for traffic to clear so I could pull out. A man stopped to, apparantly, "help" guide me out. (I didn't need guidance.) In the process, he had me back up because my tires started losing traction. That caused me to reverse down into a ditch along the turnout. Well, then the guy had me go to my left and head along the side of the turnout to get back up. I got fucking stuck. My 4WD wasn't locking in because my drive wheel was up in the air. I was stuck in a ditch at a 45-degree angle facing the wrong direction. The guy who "helped" me had to leave because he was concerned the CHP would show up and he'd had a few drinks. Nice. I called my fabulous sister and she and her boyfriend came and he pulled me out as I 4WD'd it up out of the ditch. While we were doing so, a fireman on vacation with his family was calling the "accident" into the CHP. I said that it wasn't an accident and he corrected himself stating, "oh, not an accident, she just ran off the road." I said "no, I was turning around and someone got me stuck." Long story short, I got out and he called them back and told them everything was fine. If my camera wasn't off being repaired, I would have taken pictures.
Here is a (sorry, it's blurry) cute picture I took of my mom today.
